Vimeo Overview
Vimeo is a video hosting & sharing services platform, incepted in late 2004. It contains a vast library of common TV shows to catch up on, as well as on-demand serials, dramas & films. Its optimised video streaming capabilities allow seamless content delivery. Host live events as an individual or connect with fellow team members. Being YouTube’s predecessor, Vimeo still holds an impressive & sizable audience. Its popularity is associated with the high-fidelity codecs used for crisp audiovisual content for business plus social applications. If you need a pro to perform their magic & transform your work into a dream video, their website allows you to post your requirements. They then seek to find a fit for the same. That’s helpful, not to mention thoughtful, isn’t it?
One can expand their audience by utilising growth tools & there are fully customisable player outlays to appeal to viewers. Intelligent analytics will illustrate the performance of your work, in terms of views, interest expressed, etc. Editing features enable sharing with others to modify video length or sequence. Enhanced security maintains the integrity of your material online, protecting your privacy.
With the good parts covered, let’s explore the bad.
• Yes, whilst I did mention that they have a decent market share, the audience & user count of Vimeo is comparatively minuscule compared to YouTube for instance. This means fewer potential views of your video & lower-ranking/presence on Google searches
• As they operate a non-ad policy (which may be a welcome relief for viewers), it strips the elemental possibility of acquiring sponsorship to support your campaign.
• Storage is limited, depending on the plan selected
So overall? Well, had we been back in let’s say 2005, this would’ve been a pioneering innovation well sought after. However, now with other much larger, cost-effective, flexible & popular platforms, it appears that much of their features are no longer exclusive. This means that unless there are very specific criteria you’re seeking here, your best bet is probably to stick with something more common. Vimeo is outdated.

Great tool for managing video distribution
My overall experience is so good with Vimeo. Video editing on Vimeo for creators is so fast and efficient, its editor dashboard is very simple but very useful. The video quality is more better than other platforms like Dailymotion.
Pro
Video editing feature is nice & is less frustrating compared to other software.
Cons
Because of smaller audience, lesser views the visibility and reach is so less, when compared to YouTube.

Not Worth the Money
I recently tried Vimeo, hoping to find an affordable video hosting service. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. Not only was the interface clunky and confusing, but the features were limited and the pricing was much higher than I was expecting. The upload speeds were also incredibly slow, making it difficult to get my content online. I was very disappointed with Vimeo and would not recommend it.
