The main difference between this & conventional sites is that you can more actively earn rewards by creating immersive content than compared to others. Be paid in either USD, Bitcoins, or Ether. Alternatively, begin hosting your own site & earning for the traffic you drive. Boost & upgrade your posts via channels: share meaningful material with an audience that pays you to do so.

As if that wasn’t enough, use their open-source codes & algorithms to write freely. Minds’ clean-hearted & fair community jury policy allows true freedom of speech, minimally censored by unbiased individuals. Never feel pressured into changing your stance, unless the other party provides you the means to speak your mind on it. Minds really have revolutionised the way one can interact with and achieve a personal online presence. This has been achieved in a holistic manner, with sufficient but not overly draconian guidelines.

Now, this all sounds great, however, what are the disadvantages (if any)?

Although the theoretical concept is praised by many, the rampant practical issues of many members being inexplicably banned from the site by the moderators (without any misdemeanor) are concerning. Often, any material that Minds doesn’t ‘like’ is cited as spam & subsequently removed.

The final verdict? There appears to be a lot of negativity surrounding Minds’ operations, in terms of what they actually permit people to write, post, or do. As this is evidently heavily restricted, there’s little point in subscribing to Minds and potentially enduring a flock of silent criticism by way of your online presence mysteriously disappearing. What’s worse is that there’s no real way of reaching out to anyone to challenge such decisions or even request a review. Very monopolising I say!
