Canva Overview
Canva is a graphic design platform, specifically aimed at social media & professional applications. Let’s explore their features.
Upon browsing their site, you’ll be met with utter simplicity: picture templates – and that’s about it. This makes Canva a pleasant & light user experience tool to create anything from a poster to detailed infographics. They offer free & paid subscriptions, with added security, storage & management capabilities, as well as dedicated 24/7 support.
It offers excellent value for money & coupled with its optional extras, it makes for an ideal as well as versatile image tool. However, with advantages come some drawbacks. Let’s quickly see what these are.
Apparently, once you embark upon creating or editing an image, you cannot resize it (paid plans may differ). This just appears simply unthoughtful if anything. Moreover, content cannot be collated for exporting to another service or tool. Again, this isn’t only inconvenient but frankly restrictive. With some of these niggles, one cannot help but think that there are some important gaps in their infrastructure. The operational element of their site can become unfeasible.
Therefore, whilst it is supposed to be cost-effective & full of wealthy designs, Canva lacks basic seamless functionality. This means that many users may wish to look elsewhere for a more attuned package.
