IFTTT is an acronym for the technical jargon referring to coded applets – ‘If this then that. It operates using a thread of conditional statements in response to changes in apps such as Gmail. This seems so versatile, so what could be wrong with it (if at all)? Well surprisingly, a few things, as we shall now see:

• Its linear approach makes it somewhat repetitive when designing a code & lacks full customisability. This limits programmability.

So there you have it: a simple to use coding app by the name of IFTTT. If you’re a beginner who just wishes to formulate a straightforward command to make life convenient for yourself, then, by all means, go ahead as this is for you. However, don’t expect too many frills from its elementary infrastructure, otherwise advanced users will be disappointed.
